A new DE razor unlike any before? I’m intrigued. What hasn’t been done before?  Could be a new and innovative material? Carbon fibre? Graphite? Nano tubes? Maybe the configuration is unique. It’s a DE but that doesn’t necessarily mean it uses the standard DE blades. Maybe a proprietary double edged blade? Interesting.

my bet is on an affordable, SS, edge to edge clamping DE razor.

The Era is a departure from the norm and that’s what I’m most excited about. This is both a razor and a consumer product like nobody has ever made before and it’s been incredible to be involved in a project like this. I don’t really expect anybody to match my excitement, but it’s also just a really good razor to shave with.

FWIW add me to the intrigued list.  As very satisfied Blackbird and Sabre owner, how could I not be intrigued about a product that you yourself have never been more excited about?

And as long as we're having fun ...

It’s really hard to see the razor in that picture. You need to post one where the background isn’t the same color as the razor. Smile

Okay, so I messed around with the original pic. I lightened it up and filled in the blanks. Unfortunately for me, it isn't the slant project finally coming together. I am also not thinking it is a TTO or adjustable. It bears a close resemblance to the Dart, but I could not make out enough details. Everyone else, have at it.  Huh

An ultra low cost (3 piece) stainless or aluminum Gillette Tech type, with multiple plates from mild to aggressive. Something to compete with the Rockwell 6C, but with better machining, quality and support.
