Edit: Sorry guys, I was replying to the merchant status comment, I just recieved all the notifications now for whatever reason and saw that I was added!

Sorry for being a little new here, I'm much more well versed on reddit (I'm sure I'll learn the ways here quickly)

Any other questions and comments are welcome Smile

Is this knot also referred to as the Game Changer? I saw a post from CaD314 on Instagram of a brush with a black knot like that. That's what he called it. Just curious, thanks!

Nope, thats a totally different knot. It comes from AMACK4SHAVING, it has good backbone but I found it slightly too scritchy. It is also all black, whereas my "tuxedo" knot is black and white/silver. It's still available for preorder only, will be available for sale shortly.

Got tuxedo synthetic yesterday from APshaveCo on Etsy yesterday. Installed on whipping dog handle. Do like it better then whipping dogs synthetic. Tuxedo is softer and little more backbone for face lather. I set it at 14.5mm deep.

That knot looks great in that handle Rlacrossjr. Any appreciable glue bump? How'd the loft turn out set at 14.5mm?

Great work!

Very nice brush Rlacrossjr! Really like the height it's set at..

AndrewPalombo - the Tuxedo know looks amazing! congrats for bringing it onto the market.

As an exclusive user of synthetic brushes I really like the choice available. Would you be able to tell me how it compares with the muhle silvertip v2 synthetic fibres?

My current favourite is the 24mm knot plisson type fibres, good balance between softness and backbone.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, are these similar to the new wolf whiskers synthetic fibres?

Thanks and hope to be ordering from you soon!

I have not tried the Muhle silvertip synthetic so unfortunately I wouldn't be able to compare it, I did do a breakdown for another user against the game changer knot recently on reddit so if you've tried that one out this may help you!
Here it is:

Tuxedo:

Tips: Extremely Soft

Backbone: Medium

Scritch: None

Scrub: None (some if you really really dig in)

Splay: Large

Game Changer:

Tips: Very Soft

Backbone: Firm

Scritch: Some

Scrub: Some

Splay: Medium

For comparison to black wolf:

They are similar in looks very much so. However performance, I cannot comment on as I've never tried the black wolf.

I can tell you that my batch is the densest that they can be made to be (so much so that it changes the shape a little and makes them look a bit more natural).

If you really like plisson style knots you'll love this one. Its feels like a plisson, expect its a tad softer when face lathering and the splay is larger from the extra density.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask Smile

These knots are excellent. I got mine from APShaveCo as well. I agree that it's very soft and has plenty of backbone for face lathering.
I like it better than the Plisson, Maggard, WD and HIS.
