See, what you do is stick your waaaaaay out like a giraffe to try and flatten out those flabby rolls of fat on your neck as much as possible. Then shave against the grain using a lot of pressure. You want your neck meat super close so you don't have to shave the area as often. When you're done, slap some 90% rubbing alcohol on there to slow down the hair growth. Works wonders every time. Hope that helps!

I'm old and have a fat neck. I use a technique that serves me well for my neck. I use a mild razor with a sharp, not the very sharpest, smooth blade and slowly push the fat like a wave on water by a boat. No real pressure and no cuts or scrapes. Stretching your neck only goes so far and really only if you have a long neck. I don't. Hope that helps. I go with the grain, across the grain and against the grain on my neck. I don't push for BBS either. Can't see the whiskers is good enough for me!

Milk Out My Nose
I learned how to deal with the neck from a Youtuber named Paul H. He does this "Double chin" move where he kind of pushes his head down and it makes the skin on the neck puff out, almost like a puffer fish.
With the skin puffed out you can get a closer and more comfortable shave, at least in my experience. Good luck!
