celestino has inspired me to revisit some MW soaps in the near future. I had one MW soap previously - marrakesh I believe was the scent. aside from not liking the scent, I had a lot of trouble getting a good lather from it.

I'll likely pick up a tub along with some bath soaps in the next month or two.

If you are planning on ordering samples first andrewjs18, I'd recommend you try Bay Rum, Poggio di Pini, and Tea Tree & Blue Gum (this one only if you like cooling effects reminiscent of menthol). Out of what I've tried from the regular formula, those are my favorites in terms of composition and overall pleasantness. Also, the Sensitive Skin formula works and smells great, but in my experience is more difficult to lather than the regular formula.

You know, I have seen much dialogue about the international shipping of AS containing alcohol. Makes me wonder if an artisan could not create the splash with all ingredients BUT the alcohol, including emulsifiers then allow the user to add denatured alcohol upon receipt. Sure you would lose some amount of control over your product but if you included a small pipette with specific measurements/requirements to add then allowed the user to self serve it would open an entire geography without having to sign a local disty/retail partner.

Kevin, this is something that could be considered but I think for the artisans that is just to much grief to put into place...as much as I hate saying that I think that would be the case.

Alcohol in this case is the self-preserving agent as well as being what evaporates leaving behind the skin actives and fragrance. If one were to do this, you'd have to use a preservative to keep the alcohol-free mixture safe between mixing and selling.
