Excellent information on an excellent soap. Used the cedar and sage this morning, excellent shave and aftershave. I found that in general, my shaving experience was improved 10 fold once I got rid of the scuttle and moved to face lathering. I too miss the scuttle, but if it's not working it's not working.

I used to bowl lather myself. not only is face lathering easier to me, it's more efficient as well.

Same here. I used to bowl lather regularly, but unconsciously found myself switching to face lathering since it seems to produce a better quality lather more efficiently.
Face lathering is definitely the way to go with Mystic Waters especially I've found. I really need to feel this soap to know when its very slick. I've had that great shiny shiny lather on my face from this before, but it needed just a bit more water and my first pass a couple times wasn't the best because I didn't trust how much water Mystic Waters could hold before it blew apart.
I have just ordered a bunch of stuff from Michelle.
In the order I have samples of:
Adirondack Jack
Bay Rum
Bergamot, Cedarwood & Juniper
Brown Windsor
Cedar & Sage
Coconut
Coconut Lime Verbena
Cuppa Joe
Egyptian Dragon
Gingered Cranberry Pear
Lemongrass & Blue Gum Menthol
Maestrale
Marrakesh
Orange Spice Tea
Sweet Briar
Vetiver & Oakmoss
White Tea & Ginger
Sardinian Honey
Lime
Some of which I have tried already. I will do a quick review like the OP has done focusing on the scent.
I have also grabbed a few of her bath soaps which look good. They are:
Salt soaps: Pink Sand
Shea butter Soap: Key Lime, Rosalimone
I have never tried these so I am looking forward to it.
There might be a little something in the parcel for you guys too

Great choices! My favorite out of those (I haven't tried Egyptian Dragon) is Poggio di Pini. The Vetiver and Oakmoss scent is nice, but a bit sweet and heavy on the oakmoss for me. I'd have preferred a vetiver that comes across more fresh, like Guerlain Vetiver or something similar. Someone needs to make that kind of vetiver in soap form! The only one that I've seen that uses it is B&M's Vetiver Santal.
In any case, how are you liking the soap performance Oasisdave? Mystic Water is one of my favorite artisans.

The Vetiver and Oakmoss has been the only MW scent I've tried that I didn't like at all. It needs more vetiver, less oakmoss like you said NeoXerxes. I have a sample of Egyptian Dragon that I haven't used yet, but it smells great. Poggio dei Pini is a good one.
