I just bought Fendrihan’s All Stainless Steel “Ambassador”
Price listed at CAD 49.95.  My total cost (price+GST+Shipping) $61.89
By comparison, their prices for
iKon OSS All Stainless Steel Safety Razor: CAD158.00 +GST+S/H
Wilde & Harte Eltham Razor (all SS) CAD 230.00 +GST+S/H
Feather AS-D2 Stainless Steel DE Razor CAD 248.00 +GST+S/H

It’s one of four new Fendrihan razors:
FEN-STEEL-H01 "Scientist"
FEN-STEEL-H02 "Ambassador"
FEN-STEEL-H03 "Adventurer"
FEN-STEEL-H04 "Artist"
All use the same head, which is solid Stainless Steel and has Open Comb on one side and Closed Comb on the other.  The only difference between them AFAIK is the design of the solid SS handles.

I just did a 3-pass shave using a 4-shave-old Gillette Silver Blue, Real Shave Company shaving cream on an Edwin Jagger Pure Badger.  I used the Open Comb for pass #1, and the Closed Comb for the 2nd and 3rd passes. Pretty close to BBS with no nicks.  I’d have to say the OC side is medium aggressive and the CC side is somewhat on the mild side.  Overall a nice new addition to my collection (this is razor number 45).

Very nice. The teeth in the comb side look pretty thin and, for whatever reason, I find that type of comb to be more aggressive than ones with slightly thicker teeth.

These look interesting and I applaud another SS option at an aggressive price point.

The finish looks a bit rough from the pics I have seen but as long as it shaves well I sort of like the "mutts". Smile

Enjoy!

I am the OP.  I posted it here and on 3 other forums.

Questions have been asked about the razor that I could not answer, so I contacted Fendrihan.  Here is the reply I received from the nice people in Customer Service:

The answers to your questions are the following.

Are you planning to release just the heads in either or both of both-sides-safety-bar or both-sides-open-comb? (or a full razor version with those options)

Yes.

Where are the razors manufactured?

Taiwan

What process in used to create the heads? (someone mentioned "sintered" - whatever that means)

The head is cast (poured in form) the handle is machined (on a lathe)

We are looking forward to serving you in the future. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you.

Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,
Jessica B.

I noticed that razor uses the same slots on the top cap that Wolfman Razor and BlackLand Razors uses to properly align the blades on each side.

Does this razor have 100% proper blade alignment as well?

Posting Freak
Sharpologist review of the new Fendrihan stainless steels - pretty much in accord with my brother's experience with the Scientist model.

I'm intending to get one of these after the holidays so thank you for your thoughts. The head design is what intrigues me.
