Vintage Shaver
Seattle, WA
While shaving this morning I listened to a Vivaldi concerto played by Rachel Barton Pine on viola d'amore. They said she also has played folk, Celtic, rock, jazz, and heavy metal, and she was quoted as saying something like, "One can't live on just steak alone, no matter how great the steak is." I agree with her wholeheartedly about music, and the statement also reflects why I am not a shaving minimalist. Just as I don't eat only to survive, I don't shave just to get rid of facial hair. No matter how wonderful a particular brush or razor or soap, I would not want to use it every single day. For me variety is not just the spice of life, it is the essence.

Very very fun shave today especially with the Romantics tune!

Glad I used a speed shaver where I didn’t have to concentrate or I’d be a bloody mess! That song immediately puts me in a brilliant mood!

I know, right? It's similar to dialling through the shortwave bands on a radio.
I like how they don't display any border lines.

The fan in my bathroom is far too loud to enjoy any music. So, I listen to the fan and the water run while I shave.

We've all seen the album cover before, but I never listened to it until tonight.
(And I remember seeing it in the racks when it was first released in vinyl.)

It's no "Peaches en Regalia" or "Be-Bop Tango (Of the Old Jazzmen's Church)", and I would've been happier if the vocals (such as they are) were gone, but it was at least . . . interesting.
