Beethoven’s 2nd Symphony - Bernstein Weiner Philharmoniker

One can not help but contemplate if the attendees of this premiere realized that they were witnesses to genius on the threshold of greatness. Although considered derivative of the 1st symphony, can clearly hear the brilliance about to explode in the 3rd. Frankly, could care less as it is in a style beloved, that of Haydn.

While many don't care for the Bernstein Weiner Beethoven Symphony compendium, am quite partial to it.

Got caught out of town abroad 3 weeks ago, been trying to get back in without quarantine.  Been home 2 days now and my first shave (Charcoal Goods) after jumping through many hoops including the southern border began like this:

The French one? I have not and I love Horror films!

For some odd reason, when I say the words “Horror Films” I immediately think of the legendary Karen Black! I’m not that old but I’ve always had a thing for her?

A late morning shave with Brahms Symphony No. 1 in C minor, a favorite from orchestra days long ago.

Beethoven: Piano Concerto 5 - Gilels • Szell

The best rendition encountered; have attended numerous world renown performances over the years but none compare to this. Comments regarding the piece unnecessary other than to suggest that if building a company website, this would be the low volume background music Don’t care that it so approachable; it is damn near the epitome of perfection.

Mozart's Serenade No. 6 in D ('Serenata Notturna'), followed by Beethoven's Variations in E-flat on a theme from Mozart's 'The Magic Flute,' performed by the great Yo-Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax.

Seen Ax and Ma live a few times. Ax definitely lives up to his reputation!
