To be clear and fair, not Brett's medallion in particular, but all coins in the butts of brushes Smile

Same here. Nothing personal re Mozingo medallions; detest all such medallions equally. Never one to discriminate. Haha

+1
It is really unfortunate that brush makers started this trend as it detracts from the simplicity and beauty of the handle, especially, if you are photographing them for your SOTD pics.  Shy

My ZT2 came yesterday. I asked for it to be lifted slightly higher than my Opal from the drop. After first use, I like it better because it's even softer but still plenty of backbone for me. I love this hair. I'll likely get another one before it's gone.

Wow, stunning brushes men!

I never even thought to ask Brett for a handle with no coin but you’ve inspired me, IanG153

Agreed, LOOT, several more ZT2’s before they’re gone Wink

Living on the edge
As medallions go, I quite like the Wolf Whiskers effort.
The rest, I agree, lean towards shocking.
Anyway, these ZT2 brushes are looking boss.
I hereby christen them The Marlet.

So to those who have a zt2 what is the loft set at and what size knot? It is set right for you? I have purchased the 28mm knotting service and curious what to have it set at. Thank you for any information you share.

My 28mm ZT1 is set at ~48.5mm and my 26mm ZT2 is set at ~49mm.

Love them both but the lower loft on the ZT1 is a backbone monster badger pillow that might not be for everyone but I love it.

Don’t get me wrong about the ZT2 though because it’s by no means inferior. The tips are softer than ZT1 but lately in these winter months I’ve just preferred the extra scrub from the ZT1.

I also really appreciate that Brett will set your knot at whatever loft you want because he’s an awesome guy and he provides a truly custom experience.

I requested my 28mm ZT2 to come in around 48mm and Brett said that was doable and he’s pretty close if not spot on. Still super soft and no compromise on flow through at all. I don’t like super backbony brushes but definitely no flopadopolous in this house.
