Looking for another description, I recently used the term, "tip presence" to describe the face feel of some extra-dense Finests Lee tied on special request.  Might that be a more fitting description?  Thoughts?

Tip presence is a better descriptor I think since it doesn't carry the negative connotations of scritch. This brush was never scritchy in the traditional sense. I feel the tips, but because of the flexibility of the hair they glide over the face easily and don't feel like they dig in or get caught on the skin. The tips also don't feel too large. I would say the majority are somewhere between small and medium.

"Micro-scrub" is something that has been coming to mind recently. By this I mean at a microscopic level, it feels like each tip is doing its own scrubbing, and they're almost discernible from one another. Lightly splaying the knot gives me nice scrub at the tips with a billowy feeling behind them. It doesn't feel like the skin is getting pushed around by the knot as a whole (like with a Finest or Simpson Manchurian) but rather the tips themselves are lightly pushing the little sections of skin they make contact with.
