This is like the modern version of Postum (roasted grain coffee substitute) which was invented in 1895 and is still sold today. Postum does not contain caffeine. No coffee bean versions of coffee have been around for years and have never become "mainstream" popular. IMHO, people who love real coffee are not going to go for this product. It will have a very small niche market, if any. Good luck to Atomo...they will need it.

I used to love Postum when I were a lad visiting my grandparents. I was able to enjoy a hot brown drink when the grown-ups had coffee.
Now though I would only be able get it from Amazon at USD$35 for two 8 oz bottles.
Ain't gonna happen.

On the Postum.com website, it sells for $10.50 for the 8 oz jar. One jar makes 75 cups. They now have 3 flavors...Original, Coffee Flavor and Cocoa. I only remember the Original from the 1950's and 60's. Kraft stopped making Postum in 2007 and in 2012 sold the recipe and trademarks to Eliza's Quest Food LLC. The LLC is owned by a couple who loved Postum and decided to bring it back to the world. I think Postum has a better chance of success than Atomo Molecular Coffee!
