Molding a puck of soap into a tub

Hi everyone. I just received a mystic water shave soap and was wondering how to mold the puck into the tub.
I received a pamphlet from mystic waters recommending that the user mold the puck, however, the puck seems fairly hard and won't change shape.
Any suggestions or prior experiences?

heating up the puck of soap for 5 seconds in the microwave should make it malleable enough to form it. another option is to grate it, but the first option is WAYYYYY faster.

A lot of people grate their soap and then press it in if it's a glycerin based soap you can heat it up in the microwave 20-second bursts only to a soft consistency but not a Tallow soap. Or stick it in a pyrex cup or Bowl put it in a pot of hot water and steam it soft on medium Heat

I haven't had to mold an entire Mystic Water Soap puck into a jar, but I have worked with plenty of their samples, and they have always been soft enough to mold by hand. Perhaps it would help if you broke the puck up into smaller pieces and then tried molding those?

If that works, I recommend flattening the soap as firmly as you can into the container you’re using. That way, there will be no air pockets for water to get trapped in, and the soap may also be easier to load when it’s firm and not loose.

I didn't have problem molding a puck of MW into the tub. Their soaps are usually soft enough to press in by hand in my experience.

Exactly this. MW is easily pressed into a tub. Hint: dampen your fingers.

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier! Thank you to those who answered, and remember you can always contact me directly with questions like this. I don't recommend microwaving my soap to mold it - it's not melt and pour. It CAN be microwaved, but the scent could be affected negatively. The only time I do that is if I'm adding scent to a plain unscented portion of soap, and it has to be done very carefully and incrementally. When my soap is fresh, it is fairly soft, with a consistency like Play-Doh. With time, it gets harder due to evaporation but is never hard like a milled soap. Cutting it up into smaller chunks should allow you to work it and grating it certainly would.
