Honey Farm uses premade blanks from a company called Shokwood. It's not a design so much as a material that anyone can buy at a woodworking shop. I am not aware of any brushmakers who were making their own hybrid material before I began doing so in 2017. I was in fact inspired by seeing those same blanks at Peachtree Woodworking Supply in Atlanta.

The Honey Farm Instagram Account shows the first of this design is from August 2015. I reckon he can claim to be the originator of this design!
Originator of buying premade blanks, I guess.
