That Bald Guy with the Big Beard

Ive never used a Feather razor of any variety. With that being said...

My 48-50 Super Speed is my first choice when I am in a hurry or feeling groggy, or just feel like a quick shave without worrying about irritation or nicks, but I still want efficient and BBS.

It has a reasonable range of angles, but in its "sweet spot", at least for me, it is excellently efficient and wonderfully comfortable and mild to my scalp...

I've never used the Feather AS-D2, but I think that the cheap Feather Popular feels very mild while still being effective. The Popular is also very light with a large part of the razor being made of plastic/polymer. If I wouldn't have ordered the Mekur 34C on the same day when I first started this, I might still be happily shaving away with the Feather Popular. It also makes for a great travel razor. You're only out less than $15-20 if it gets lost or broken while traveling.

Have you ever tried a vintage pre-war Gillette Fat Handle Tech? It's the one with the triangular holes in the base plate. I find that razor to be mild, but efficient.

I don't think I ever tried that specific tech, no.

Hobbyist was telling me about the feather popular when we were talking back and forth about razors. being that it's so cheap, I'll likely pick one up in the near future.

The quality of shave from my Tech is so similar to AS/D-2, that I decided to sell my feather (which you already know Smile ).

Between these two, if you prefer heavier and longer razor, feather is the one. If you like shorter and lighter razor, Tech is the one.

I prefer lighter razors myself, but I don't find the feather as-d2 to be all that bad!

The Gillette Aristocrat is very efficient and smooth for me.
iKon SC101 is a modern combination of mild and efficient, too.

I'll go with Aristocrat. Though my Milord is pretty mild and efficient, too.

I would suggest the Ikon deluxe. It is supposed to be fashioned after the Gillette NEW Deluxe but it ended up being mild. I have the AS-D1, Gillette triangle Tech, ikon deluxe, and Gillette NEW Deluxe. In order of aggressiveness starting at mild: AS-D1, ikon deluxe, triangle tech, Gillette NEW Deluxe. I would consider the NEW Deluxe to be on the upper end of medium. The Gillette triangle tech and ikon deluxe I would say are very close and I would say right square in the middle of mild with the ikon deluxe being a little smoother. The AS-D1 I think is the most mild razor ever. Pm me and if you'd like to try the Ikon deluxe.

I agree with this also. I'm glad I bought one.

Have not tried the feather though.
X2 on this one. No where near the cost but the first razor that popped into my mind based on thy description.

John, this is not my experience. I have tried the Feather AS-D1 and the AS-D2 a total of four times, each on separate occasions and I have never gotten a good shave with the Feather. I just find it much, much too mild, whereas the DLC is a moderately aggressive shaver. Shy

how does the ATT M1 or M2 compare to the feather as-d2 in terms of mildness and efficiency?

I cant't answer the question.

I would like to know about these razors. The first one says 'feather' on it.

The second one says 'feather' on the inside. This is the one that I have.

Am I the only person who has one of these?
