Mike's is one man operation. He makes an amazing soap and its definitely worth the wait to get it. As pictured above it produces a great lather.

had my second shave with Mike's soaps tonight.  I used the barbershop soap which smells amazing.

does this get the approval of Merkur Man?  This is after my first pass (I only do 1 pass on my lower neck as I have a beard):

It looks like excellent lather Andrew! I hope the shave was satisfactory as well. Barbershop is also one of my favorites. Well done!

Is the Barbershop a traditional scent? The scent profile seemed pretty much in line with what is normal for barbershop to me. However I saw someone mention they thought it smelled kind of like green Irish tweed scent.

If I am completely honest I always thought it came across as one of those slightly synthetic barbershop scents, doesn't mean I don't like it though I actually like it a lot I found it similar to MLSW Kraken.

That helps. I didn't care for the Kraken personally. Thank you!

I find Mike's Barbershop to be on the sweeter side (more bergamot in my opinion) compared to other barbershop scents.  I also think it smells exactly like what seemed like the most popular cologne during my high school years, Tommy Hilfiger's Tommy Cologne. I thoroughly enjoy it.
