Maintaining your razors.

I rinse and wipe them down after each shave. Only takes an extra minutes, they don't get as much build up which necessitates a more abrasive cleaning.

Make sure to wipe the poo and pee off them too. If it's getting on brushes, it's surely on your razors too.

Gross, but important question

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

A soft toothbrush and dishwashing liquid every once in a while -- other than that, a good rinse will do fine.
Oh ... for stainless steel razors, take the blade out after shaving, to avoid rust.

Once a month I take all of my daily shavers and give them a good soaking in scrubbing bubbles, let them sit for 5 min. and then give them a once over with a tooth brush. If it is recent purchase that is pretty dirty or tarnished I will let them soak in CLR for three minutes and then scrub them with a gun brush which you can find at any hardware store. I have brought many a vintage razor back to life using this method.

I keep it simple. After each use I use a soft toothbrush and a little bit of hand soap. Clean, dry, and let them air dry some more. I also use a Qtip to dry the threads inside the handle.
