Got a Lupo 95 in the mail today and excited to use it. I put a blade in and just to stare at it for a bit and boy is it more aggressive than anything I've tried, but excited for the potential.

Nice! Enjoy it with a light touch.

Thanks! I kind of went the opposite direction on this. I tried a Mamba 53 but found it way too mild and my OCD kicked in caused me to use too much pressure and passes to get rid of the stubble and my neck hated me for a few days. Per some recommendation's I want to try this and also have a GC 84 coming and the hope is a single pass with some upper face cleanup will yield a much closer shave and prevent me from wanting to chase bbs as much. I have also read a lot of anecdotal evidence of people saying the Lupo 95 actually feels smoother than the 72 plate for whatever reason.

You can always tame the aggression of a razor by using a less sharp blade. Just make sure the blade is sharp enough for your beard. Once you learn the correct blade angle and pressure for the razor, you might be able to go sharper as long as you use minimal pressure.

Beautiful!!! Pretty much everything RayClem said. Find the right blade and angle for it. I personally don't find the 95 too aggressive, (I have the open comb version), but obviously that can vary for everybody. I personally find that the Razorock GC and Lupo razors are very smooth shavers and can be reasonably forgiving. if you do find it aggressive, just do what Ray said and experiment with some blades and change the angle until you find what works for you. Don't give up too quickly! You've got a great tool that is very capable of giving you outstanding shaves.

Thanks all. I'll be trying it tonight when I'm home for a night shave. I'm going to throw a Wizamet Iridium in it for the first shave and start with a gentle 1 pass and go from there. My upper face is pretty forgiving so the neck is the real test. If I can get a really DFS on the lower neck with a singke wtg pass and a second pass xtg on the jawline and up I'll be super happy. I've been shaving daily with the mamba 53 and with a singke pass leaves a lot of stubble. I'd say I get a socially acceptable shave but being a redhead i don't really get a 5 o'clock shadow. Hell i hardly get a 1 week shadow lol. So the next day really I'm the only one besides my giralfriend and dogs that can even feel the next day stubble but I know it's there. In my perfect world I'd get a damn near bbs with 2 passes and shave every 2nd or 3rd day. Every day is not really necessary for my facial hair. And I only have a little soul patch so there isn't much to worry about blending or feather in either.
