I've been enjoying the extreme aftershaves like the cooling of Fine Snake Bite and the burn of Captains Choice Cat o'Nine Tails. What are some other aftershaves that give a strong sensation, especially the burn?

Stirling Bay Rum is the hottest splash I've ever tried. I regularly use Captains Choice CO9T, but I couldn't handle Stirling Bay Rum. Lit me up like a firecracker. Couldn't use it.

I have a HTGAM Bay Rum alcohol base aftershave thats pretty hot - the non=alc version is hot too. I'm not sure if the formula is the same in PAA.

Maggard's Tobacco & Leather went nuclear on me. I feverishly scrubbed my face with soap and water and it still hurt for a long time.

Vintage Old Spice (and, by extension, its re-creations) had quite a strong burn to it. The various vintages I have all smolder for about 15 minutes or so on the face. It's not really my thing, but might be worth looking into.

Chatillon Lux's blackberry blossom bay splash made my face hot for about 10-15 minutes, but not the salve..

Traditionally, bay rums are where it's at. But anything with alcohol, cinnamon, other spices... All good choices. Though I'm not a fan of PAA, Autumn Factory has lots of spice to light you up.

Oddly, Co9T never "warmed" my face. It works like any other bay rum for me... The only shaving product I've ever had a reaction to was Wizard's Pipe by SteamBath Factory. I guess you need to be riding the line here for that effect.

Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum has a nice burn to it. I've not tried Captain's Choice CO9T so I can't do a burn comparison between the two.

PAA Artic Bay Rum is the best I've found for nice intensity. Also has a great scent that lingers. I'm also a big fan of Fine Snakebite. In regard to menthol, you can get some nenthol crystals to add some pop. I did that to Proraso Green AS and Floid Blud, and it improved them for me.

I'll second Fine Snakebite and add that any of PAA's aftershaves (that I've tried) have a strong burn to them.
