You have quite a large budget for a razor in my opinion, so the truth is, if you can drop 2 bills on the ATT, there doesnt seem to be any good reasin not to. Everyone that has ever used one has loved it. There must be something there, so if you have that ability, go for it. Dont begrudge yourself that luxury if its within your reach.

With that said, you dont have to overlook the less expensive options out there...

Maggard Razors V3 or V3a are great razor heads that perform very well, and are very inexpensive. Toss in a stainless MR handle, and you have an excellent little razor for about $20. My V3 on the MR22 handle is undoubtedly my favorite safety razor. The head is plated Zermak, not steel or brass, but it is well made, well polished, and very smooth and efficient.

Just my humble opinion. As I said, if you can spoil yourself with an ATT set, go for it. Nobody has ever said they were disappointed with one, so there must be something to it.

But you can get quality gear that performs exceptionally well without spending that kind of money...
