I have three of his pucks. Sandalwood, Bay Rum, and California Barber. All of them are easy to load and lather. Lather is slick enough and persists through three passes. what i really like is the scents! I knew from a quick sniff of the pucks that Bay Rum and Sandalwood would be fantastic but i wondered about California Barber. Robert does not describe them well enough on his site to do them justice. The California Barber is his take on a traditional Barbershop scent which often I do not enjoy. I lathered up this champ and it opened up a whole new world. Think Barbershop in a citrus grove with the citrus as the front note. I love it. I am a sandalwood fan and own some really deep sandalwood scents. This is not one of them but neither is it one of the cologne type sandalwoods either. Local Gent has found a perfect balance between woodsy/earthy and cologne and I really dig this one. Favorite of the bunch? Bay Rum! Local Gent is the best bay rum in my den. Holy Crap, I just reread this post and I swear i sound like a Local Gent fan boy. Fact is I really am liking Roberts soaps right now. Performance is great and scent strength is right up there. If you are going to use a cologne, make sure you have a complementary one because this soap persists. My face and nose really like Local Gent but as always..............YMMV
I already placed an order for a brush, Cali Barber & Field and Stream. I normally avoid Bay Rums since they are all over the place. Now you have me interested in his variation. If all goes well I will place another order soon for balms, etc. Thanks for the feedback everyone. As a side note he is a really easy guy to talk to.

Speaking of, I'm giving your signature soap a run this week with the polished Bird. I can't believe I completely forgot about this little jewel.

Nice! I love that scent profile. It really opens up once it lathers.
