After trying the Seygus ,Colonel SE and Standard Razor Aluminum razors and the Paradigm Ti one,I have realized that I prefer them over some other more heavier models in brass or stainless steel. When I first tried the Standard razor and the Colonel , realized that I dont like my razors to be as light as some bakelite ones , but they didnt have tome more than 50 grams to convince me (of course, those two , shaves me extremely well).

What about you , gents ? Prefer heavy razors (over 4 oz), medium ones (between 2.5 and 3.5oz) or even lighter ones ?

Papa bear walked in and said " Somebodies been sleeping in my bed" mama bear exclaimed " and somebodies been sleeping in mine!" Baby bear kept quiet, hoping his girlfriend Goldilock's hair poking out from the blanket went unseen.
I like my razors like my handguns; heavy, balanced with rapid recovery.

I find that my technique is more exact with heavy razors. Plus, I just enjoy that hefty feeling in the hand.

Regardless of the heads weight or material, I prefer light aluminum handle for control of the angle and pressure on the skin.

Lately, the more I use light razors, the more I like them. A heavy razor does seem more effective at mowing down several days of growth, but with the right blade and proper technique, a light razor should fare just as well.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

My sweet spot is right around 65-70 g. I know it's specific but I like razors right around there. Just enough weight but also maneuverable.

I have both lighter razors in aluminum and heavier razors in stainless and brass. I enjoy both depending on my mood.

You really need to write a book one day. Each post is like a mini adventure.
