Lettering

The Paladin Falstaff lettering just wasn't visible enough.  So, following a tip from a user (dang, I don't recall who)
I've redone the lettering.

I cleaned the lettering with alcohol and aopplied the Rub n Buff with my finger.

A thorough buffing with a microfibre and ample drying time yielded a far more visible name.

The downside:  Five bucks for the tube of Rub n Buff at Michaels and I used about less than a pea size amount.

MaxP what a transformation, that looks great! That really makes “Paladin” pop now and looks great against the Tortoise. Did you have to seal it with anything, or is it water resistant as it is? Enjoy your beautiful Brush!

The Rub n' buff is a waxy material so it should be pretty water resistant. If it starts to come out, you can always touch it up again. Looks way better than the original, by the way!

I'm hopeful that it's sufficiently water resistant as Jeff notes.  After a few uses I'll be able to tell.

And the original idea to use Rub n Buff came from Bijou.  I found his re-lettered Paladin in a post last December

FWIW, we use Testors enamel paint (some of it fairly hard to find).

In the beginning we tried some non-enamel paints but ran into problems with some of them apparently absorbing water and swelling. We've never had problems with Testors.

Haven't heard the name Testors in 55+ years...used to paint model cars with it.

It was a blast from the past for me too. Great stuff! And some crazy variety.
