For me it would be Barrister & Mann, no question about it. That soap is flat out awesome.
First runner up is Mike's Natural.

Dang, I just found an earlier post by me in this thread. Elder moment or maybe it's the repeated head trauma from hockey and rugby catching up. At least I was consistent in choosing Barrister & Mann Happy2

Best European: Pannacrema

Best American: Barrister & Mann

I can't decide only one of these two. I want them both in my den.

Just seeing this now. To respond to your question Chris, mine would have to be Soapy Bathman! Great scents (and variation on darker and lighter stuff), great performance, and his whole catalog is great—soaps, splashes, balms, ect. Catie's is a close second, but Soapy Bathman is in front for me.

Stirling. Hands down, drops the mike, done. This is not meant to reflect negatively upon the other half dozen or so wonderful soap makers I keep religiously in my den, but Rod and Mandy win my Academy Award.

To me it would be strop Shoppe, I absolutely love the stuff but unfortunately I was only able to get my hands on one tub of black tie before they went out of production. Now I wait anxiously for some of it to pop up on selling and trading in hopes to find more.

European soaps : Martin de Candre and Klar Seifen. Unfortunately, Martin de Candre has only 3 soaps in its range (one being unscented). Klar Seifen offers a wider range of scents but they are rather classic / not very sophisticated. Would like to test Xpec someday to challenge my ranking.

American : Cold River Soap Works. Never seen such a great slickness. As of the post shave effect, I've never experienced dryness.
