Difficult to pick one artisan soap. Stirling would be my choice, great selections, great value too.

I have never tried B & M, I know that they have a huge fan base.

My choice for one top artisan soap would be Stirling. Great lather and slick, plus a great value and selection.

Were all different.
What works for one does not work for another.

To me my two Nuavia's are still among my absolute top performing soaps.
When presentation is taken into consideration the two Nuavia's are the best shaving soaps in my den, and I honestly own EVERY SINLGE top soap out there, with the exception of Mystic Water (which I soon will buy 16 soaps from), Mike's Natural (which I probably will not let into my den this year) and Faena (a Greek soap I have yet to try)
Not letting Mike's into your den is a mistake! You will wish you had sooner

My problem with Mike's, despite the fanfare, is that every time (10 to 15 ish) I have gone there to order soap, the one/one's I want are sold out. Eventually a guy just gives up. There are still so many artisans to try, it is hard to worry about pushing one to the bottom of the list.

[Before I get jumped on...] This was not a condemnation of Mike's soap, or his business practices. This was not sour graping about not having been able to get a hold of them. This was just a plain statement of fact, and I guess I am not that enthusiastic, so before someone has kittens..... It isn't that big of a deal to me. Just sayin'...

that was one of the biggest complaints I always had about Mike's as well. it seems that maybe he might start making them more often as Maggard's is now stocking some of his soaps: http://www.maggardrazors.com/product-tag...ral-soaps/

Thank you, and it is all good. I am not disgruntled. I also have a couple of college age kids with some inordinate expenses, so I have placed myself in sort of a sabbatical for a while now...

I always assumed he was just a poor working schmuck like the rest of us, and churned them out as fast as he could.

He is for sure on my list.
