It says it's made entirely of metal, but you're correct. The leafs don't seem very sturdy from the video- however that's just a plastic prototype I believe.

I would not put a cent into a razor reproducing the configuration of a cartridge razor, even if using traditional DE blades. The problem with those type of razor, modern Gillette or Leaf, is that multiple blades acting in one single pass is simply too much for your skin. Hence increasing risks of irritations.

The nice thing about the Leaf razor is that you can load it with one, two or three (half) blades, depending on your preference. Personally I feel it would probably have been enough to have just two blade slots, but since there are millions of shavers out there who expect a modern razor to have anything from five to a dozen blades on it, I guess some concessions had to be made…
