First shave today, and I jumped right in with the brass 1.20 head. The fit and finish of the razor is top tier, with all the parts fitting together very well. The pins being located on the baseplate don't bother me, and I had no issues loading the blade. Blade of choice was a second use gillette platinum. The handle is simple but gets the job done, and threaded on easily. Soap choice was HSSC Kootenay Blue. I don't use this soap often enough, as it is an excellent performer that beats out some of my top tallow soaps. The shave was great and different than I was expecting. Very little blade feel with excellent efficiency. The razor easily shaved through two days of growth, and did so very smoothly. The razor felt very safe, and I was pleasantly surprised when I rinsed my face how smooth it was. I shaved my right side with the OC, and left side with the SB. I usually prefer SB razors, and did so slightly here as well. Both sides of my face felt equally as close after the shave, and 9 hours later feel identical. Some slight alum burn where I has some blemishes, which was expected. The blade exposure feels neutral, or close to neutral, which made it difficult to shave under my nose. No blade chatter, and the blade looks very well supported. I look forward to using the rest of the set and gathering some more opinions on the different materials and gaps.

Second shave today with the Ti .8mm gap. I'm not a daily shaver as my skin can not handle it. I figured I would try with the most mild plate and hope for the best. Blade was a third use gillette platinum. Soap/splash was OG Ethos Succes. The shave was good and even with the smallest gap, the angle was easy to find and maintain. While being much less efficient than the 1.20 plate, the razor still mowed down my growth with ease. Finished up with a 2 pass DFS. I did have some irritation on my jawline, and felt the sting with the alum. Fully expected since I shaved so close to my last. The full Ti razor felt great in hand, and shaved very comfortably. It seemed the smaller gap was more maneuverable and I was able to easily get under my nose. Tomorrow the 1.0 SS head will be on deck!

Forgive me my bad english please  Smile [Image: JAYEAHq.jpg]

In this test ride, I will for once try to give you my impressions.
The "Le Maurice" razor arrived in a pretty wooden box.
With a hollow grip, 0.8mm TI head, 1.0mm SS head and 1.2mm brass head. All dual combs. Manufactory seems solid and well made. There may be a better finish but the razor may have already been used in another test run. Nevertheless it remains more than correct.
Being French, I will try to remain as objective as possible. I'm not a fundamentalist because in France, when it's good, no matter where it comes from. But we are sure that all the pieces are made in France.
Having 5 days of beards, and yes I was waiting for the "Maurice"! I decided to use the 1.2mm DC plate. Those who know me know my preference for DC and OC heads.
I operated as usual. In the direction of the hair with the OC side and against the grain with the SB side.
The razor feels good in the hand and the grip didn't give me any problems. I'm not a fan of hollow handles, but that's just a matter of personal taste.
Overall it was an excellent shave. It is equally effective on each side of the plate. It is soft and yet, it cuts the bugger! I loved the intuitive aspect where you can play with the angle. No irritation, no red dots. I found it extremely comfortable. I liked the blade feel but with a 5 day beard... To be seen in 2 days with the 1.0mm plate. The blade does not move an inch. I really like the design of the head, which I find manageable and pleasant. No worries to pass under the nose. In short, for having owned all kinds of razors (Charcoal, Haircut and shave, Wolfman, Rocnel, yates etc.) In terms of quality and shaving efficiency, I put it in this group without any problem.
I would say, by comparison, that this plate is between lvl 2 and 3 of the Charcoal generation 1. It also made me, strangely, think of my Gillette Aristocrate # 3. The "weak" point (I nitpick) for me remains the finish which could be a little better. And I would have liked a solid and non-hollow handle in 90 mm.
But overall I was surprised and impressed by the quality of the shave obtained or as I said before, it has nothing to envy to other "prestige" razors.
Of course, this is a personal and necessarily subjective point of view. So not to be taken "literally".

Olive I agree with Dave in KY as your review was fantastic and very informative. I also enjoyed the narrow vintage Gillette Tech inspired head for its ease of use under the nose. Merci beacoup
