Hi there,
My name is Augustin, I am a French machinist working alone in the lost region of Aveyron in the south of France.
I discovered the world of traditional shaving thanks to my cousin who asked me to make him a safety razor.
Having time available for my start-up, I created my first razor prototype a few months later.
This first razor was not functional but it gave me the desire to continue in this adventure.
It was important for me to create a razor that was both gentle and very effective, several months of work were necessary to achieve these objectives.

"Le Maurice" is in homage to my grandfather.

My razors are made by CNC machining and traditional turning in my small workshop in Aveyron.

My equipment is simple, and all the money that I’ll be making selling those razor will go to invest in new machines.

For the moment I offer three different materials (stainless steel, brass and titanium) as well as three GAP (0.8, 1.0, 1.2 mm)
In order to share my work and make Atelier DURDAN known, I made this for you:

A custom chestnut wooden box from Aveyron to hold:
- A titanium head (TA6v) GAP 0.8 mm polished
- A stainless steel head (316l) GAP 1.0 mm sandblasted
- A brass head GAP 1.2 mm sandblasted
- A Ø14mm titanium handle sandblasted
- A stainless steel stand sandblasted
A pass around is open to those who are interested in trying under the following conditions:
• 5 positives review
• You share with me how I can improve this razor
• You buy me a beer if you ever come to my little workshop in Averyon
