Kent Silvertex Synthetic

I've been doing some research for my first synthetic and came across the Kent Silvertex. If any of you guys are using or have used this brush, would you mind sharing your thoughts about it?

It's a Gen 3.5 synthetic and not as efficient as the newer Gen 4+ Plisson, Sterling, Pur Tech, Muhle STF etc.

It is incredibly soft though, very springy and much much nicer than the synthetics which came before it.

I wasn't a big fan of it. I purchased one and sold it off after a couple shaves a few years ago. My issue was that it just didn't splay. It's springy but I found that the tips didn't spread apart. Consequently, it felt like it just "bounced" around my face. My experience could be unique but I've since found other synthetics I've fallen in love with.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I think I'll keep shopping around. I heard the Stirling brush is going to be available in a smaller knot. I may hold out for that one.
