Karve Shaving Co. A new DE Brass razor to market.

I ordered the E&F OC plates and the F SB plates in one order, the 3.5 handle and top cap in another and the G SB plate in the last order all in stainless. Can’t wait to get all of it to compare to the brass. The one plate that I don’t have in brass is the G plate so really looking forward to that one in particular!

Why on earth artisans do a drop before products are ready I’ll NEVER understand.

The biggest disappointment to me is that I purchased this thing to take on a trip at the end of the month.....sure hope I get it in time.

I’m not happy about that but I’m sure the new stainless version will be worth the wait. The problem I have with this is the way they did their release with pics of parts already finished made you think that everything was ready to ship upon ordering. Not a good look for them. Last time I ordered the brass pieces when they were released, they shipped within a week of release but I was one of the first to get the brass razor. I seem to remember getting the brass F plate and the brass OC plates immediately after they were available.

My experience with the brass was entirely different. They dropped the ball big time on that. In their defense they did write me back which is a big improvement on my last experience.

I've had the same experience. I've place three orders with Karve, and all three arrived in about a week. The first was the full brass razor with a D straight bar plate, shortly after they launched. The D was too mild for me, so I waited for a more "aggressive" plate. I then ordered the F straight bar plate the day it was released. Finally, I ordered the F open comb plate the day it was released. I missed out on the G plate releases, in both brass and stainless, but I can't blame the vendor...

I guess I've just been lucky, but my experience with Karve has been perfect.

I just shaved with the E plate OC because the last time I shaved with the F plate OC and a Feather blade, I cut myself several times. I was shocked because I have never had that issue with the F plate SB. The E plate OC was super smooth and a perfect match for a Feather blade. I love extremely aggressive razors but I think I met my match with the F plate OC. Of course, it shaved fine with a PolSilver and happy about that because I ordered the E and F plate OC in stainless. I also ordered the G plate SB in stainless and I’m sure I can handle that one but will start out with a PolSilver in that one. Anyway, can’t wait for the stainless orders to start shipping!!

the f plate oc imo isnt to bad. but i prefer more aggressive razors. it just needs basically zero touch and a good angle. i agree it can bite a bit though if not careful.

Can’t believe it’s another 2 weeks for the stainless to ship. Kinda makes be glad I held off, I had a full razor in my cart on release day.

Got a shipping notice today. It hadn’t been picked up as of yet.
