Thanks! The product is literally called "Brass & Bronze Aging Solution" and it is available through Amazon in an 8oz bottle. The marketplace seller that sells it is named "House of Antique Hardware"

Awesome job. There are many household products that will age brass. Ammonia and salt solution. Vinegar and salt solution. And a couple of hard boiled eggs in a plastic bag with brass parts. Pretty amazing actually. Google is your friend.

And incidentally - if you'd like to remove patina - (I over did it with Ammonia) - mix 1 teaspoon salt, one cup of vinegar - let your razor soak for an hour -- then a gentle scrup with baking soda or flour. Works wonders -- another novel idea is ketchup. Lather the razor with ketchup and wait an hour, then wipe. Tremendous that these household safe products work so well on brass.

Great feeling shave without compromising smoothness and cutting effectiveness with the E plate. Hadn't shaved with it in a couple months and brought it out for yesterday's shave. Felt like I've never stopped shaving with it. Intuitive feel and as good as rain calming a hot evening. Easy to get along with and just a pure joy to use. Blade is held vise like and it just hums along taking down whiskers. Top quality razor for the $$$......

Sounds enjoyable Gus. I'm glad I got that E plate ordered, because the C plate was just leaving too much behind..

I think you'll enjoy it. Doesn't sacrifice anything on smoothness but gives it a noticeable bump in efficiency. Good luck amigo and happy shaves....

No apologies needed my friend. Think nothing of it. Once you get the D plate and give it a go, if it’s still a little light for you just send me a pm and I’ll send you the E & F plates so you can try them out and see if either or both would work for you...
