First shave, this morning.
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.
I used plate C and I found it a bit more aggressive than an EJ DE89.
It was fairly smooth, except in some spots on my neck and under my jawline. I had to do a bit of buffing to finish, but I was left with a bit of irritation.
I'll have to allow for more time with the razor to see how I get on with it.
The most surprising thing about the razor is the handle; the knurling feels extremely nice and provides a wonderful grip.
Tomorrow, I'll use plate D to see how the shave goes.

I ordered plate D so I am very interested in your evaluation tomorrow. I might have my razor tomorrow if I am lucky.

Interested to hear when someone uses the D plate and what they compare it to. Someone said the C plate is comparable to a .95 Timeless. Anyone else with a C plate feel that way?

i just purchased the 3.5" handle with B and C plates. I am not a strong man Smile I had returned the timeless bronze because it was a tad too mild for me so I hope that with a set of two different plates, the karve will enjoy much more use as a daily driver.

This wasn't my impression as I used plate C, this morning and I found the Timeless .95 more efficient.
I had a bit of stubble left after using plate C, but that could be my technique with this new razor.
I would say it is a bit more aggressive/efficient than an EJ DE89.

I will be using plate D, tomorrow.

I used plate D, this morning, and it was a better shave as it is a bit more efficient than the C plate. However, I wouldn't characterize it as aggressive even though it has a .98mm blade gap. It is efficient, but for some reason, I am not getting on with the razor. I have been modifying the angles with the razor during my shaves/passes and, at times and in certain areas, it is neither as smooth or efficient as I would like, unfortunately, and I am getting more irritation than I would ever get from my Blackbird or Weber DLC.

I'll try it a few more days to see if I decide to keep it as it really is a very lovely made razor, especially, the handle.
Furthermore, keep in mind that this is a subjective view from one individual and others may have varying opinions. Shy

Got the D plate Christopher Bradley (Karve Shaving) just as I was leaving on my trip. Picture taken in my hotel room earlier. Loaded it with a Voskhod Teflon blade for tomorrow morning's shave. Results to follow. The grip and build quality is excellent.

I ordered one of these with a D plate three days ago. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's report!

Does anyone think it odd that I haven't yet received a shipping notice?
