It would seem that finishing is not his strong suit. Remember also, the Ti razors were supposed to be finished and shipped back in May originally and they are still in production!! Probably won't see the light of day until summer 2021...Ah, yeah that could be a wait wait situation.
Slow deal on the TI, so it sounds.
Ti is a different kettle of fish and, incidentally, is also not listed as being in stock.

History would prove that the "lead time" he has listed on his site isn't even close to being true!! His average lead time is in the 3-4 month range for something that shows in stock... Do your homework... You should know this already!!

I saw on Reddit about the "in stock" at Karve which really wasn't made, or something like that.
Shoot, this has more twist than a Hula Dancer.
Edit: I'm sure an email probably won't get answered at Karve,so.

I am well aware of what has been said about „lead time“ in the past. No need to look on Reddit as this thread is full of it.
What I am saying is that for orders from the very recent past, this looks to be improving.
Also, it is a figure Chris appears to be adjusting based on his current capacity. My last Karve order about 2 months ago the website stated 4 weeks lead time. I got it in 4 weeks. Now the website states 1 week. If that is true? Only one way to find out.

I ordered an aluminum Karve in May. I emailed in early September and was told it would be ready before the end of the month. Nothing yet in mid-October. I don’t mind waiting. I’m just commenting on the post about how the timeliness of things seems to be improving.
I’ve got more razors than I need so it doesn’t really matter to me if I have to wait another six months. And I sure have bigger things to unhealthily obsess over than when a razor will be ready.
I’ve just heard how good the aluminum version of the razor is. And I like aluminum razors in general — my favorite razor is an aluminum Wolfman — so I’ve got high hopes for the Karve when it eventually gets to me.

I emailed him a 3 weeks ago regarding a Gladius handle, got a response in 2-3 days, had a series of email exhanges, each 2-3 days between them, and a new handle to me within a week of the final email!

A reduced lead time for his bread and butter items would indicate that any other projects going may well get more attention going forward. Not looking to redeem Chris for his actions of the past, just saying that to me, things appear to be going in the predominantly desired direction.
Very often it was criticized that money was taken for brass and stainless razors that took ages (over and above the lead time stated) to be produced. How dare he start on production of other materials. Now we are seeing a theoretical reduction in lead times on brass and stainless and the dates for aluminium and titanium (for which no moneys were taken) being pushed back. There was an instagram post addressing the „issues“ with aluminium and titanium production that went out a while back by the way.
Oh, the aluminium shaves wonderfully.

Well, I'm on Reddit too, so you'll need to
pardon me, I'm not cheating on DFS, lol
Edit: Thanks for your input all information can be good information. It seems as usual YMMV here too.
I got the brass in May 2018, and it quickly knocked out my RAD and prompted a sell off of razors, to just two others in addition to my brass Karve. I have tried various SB and OC plates, and have settled on SB B as my go to. Lazy weekends see the A, and when feeling adventurous, I use the SB C or OC A!! But it is still my main razor. I touch up the patina every 8 months or so, but haven't done more than use Flitz. My two cents, but I haven't found another razor as good as this for me, and decided to quit looking by early 2019.
