Hi DFS Gents

Here is first Karve Overlander in SS in Premium mirror finish, I managed to get this one done for some gent before I start my new Contract at my new job…

Now polishing it it’s not as easy as first Karve Christopher Bradley razor it takes different approach and skill to be done just right and extra hours to work on it…

Overall I’m quite satisfied with it’s finish and looks very nice…

Is it worth it? YMMV but in my view and honest opinion Yes 100% very nicely done by Karve looks great feels great and lastly shaves nice and only one plate  Happy2

Well this is new Karve Begining to Greatness of 2022 Well Done on this one…

Hope you like it!

Best Regards

Alan H

Living on the edge
That is a great improvement on the lifeless matt it comes in. Nice job!

That was a great job. I wonder if the SS or polished SS shaves smoother then the brass counterpart?

Also curious what people use to polish their razors, I’m going to have to look into this. I can tell you with experience in other hobbies that “Mothers Mag Polish” with a felt tip or rag does an amazing job to give a mirror like finish without taking away metal like sand paper would. I’d often start with 800-2000 grit to get rid of machine marks then use that Mothers polish on a dremel with felt tip end. But a q-tip or rag works just as well but takes a lot longer to polish.

That’s great if you found a way it works for you that’s awesome, I don’t use dremmel etc..I have professional tool expensive high end muslin wheels etc..I wish it’s that easy to polish to have that finish but it’s not I take different approach!!!

Am I imagining things or have you gotten better? I remember an early Karve polish job you shared ... and while it looked good, the text and fine circular lines on the underside of the base plate were definitely less clear. In these, the text and fine lines on the underside of the cap still look very defined.
