I have used Brasso quite a few times on my C & D plates to keep them clean, but it hasn't altered the finish, in the slightest, or anything that I can visually perceive. Therefore, it might take you a very, very long time to get a noticeable change.
Good luck.

No electricity involved.  I think it's in one of the larger Karve threads.  I wouldn't think that brass polish alone would be effective;  the abrasive is too fine.

I wouldn't use any steel wool more coarse than #0000 and probably instead a micro-fiber cloth in addition to the aforementioned Flitz or my old standby:

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

A question. Would patina on the brass plates change the tolerances ? Also the Karve razor is bead blasted. Wouldn't that also alter tolerances ? I have no clue how these things work hence some education is in order.

What is the best way to maintain the razor as new?

celestino thank you.... this exactly what I was considering... It looks great the way it is.... know thyself and I fear my lack of patience would likely result in me ruining this great razor if I tried to polish it solo .... hence I will wait and see if a polished version ever comes to market and then scoop it up.. appreciate the response.
