Karve is the New Wolfman

It was VERY EASY for me to replace the 6S with a Karve.  The Rockwell was far too bulky and therefore, uncomfortable to me.

I thought it was just me but, yes, the Rockwell is just too bulky. I rarely pick up my Timeless .95 for the same reason anymore. The heads and handles are too cumbersome and massive. DE blades are small and I like how the Karve plates fit around the blade perfectly and the blade tabs are exposed. I'm probably in the minority as most guys like the blade tabs covered but it makes DE heads too long for me. An example is the Game Changer which covers the tabs and the baseplate was oversized imo.

I believe the GC had a larger baseplate learning from the Mamba experience where many owners complained that a portion of the blade edge on both sides was not exposed. Some wanted blade tabs covered as precision engineering didn't require it for aligning. Ah well ! One razor can't satisfy everyone !

I am one of the few who like the blade feel of the Karve but am surprised that it takes more passes for the blade exposure and blade feel

Conrad/Barbasol is not much different or complex from what is done with the Karve except the Karve plates don't extend to the blade edge. Personally I prefer the Barbasol design.

Karve is nothing like Wolfman, IMO. It's affordable and readily available. And stop talking about the price going up! I'm this close to pulling the trigger on one of these beauties.

It’s an amazing razor and “readily available” seems to be dwindling as the word gets out as shipping times have slipped evident the posts here...... I wish there was a polished version as opposed to Mate..... and yes I know in this thread a couple of guys way more skilled than I have polished theirs to perfection.... but man oh man.... this razor and shave..... unreal.
