This sentence in the middle of your post seems like a total non-sequitur.

I live in Los Angeles.  I have talked to the owner of Los Angeles Shaving Company, he is only a couple of miles from me but, I have not purchased his soap as of yet.  It is not a conclusion it is a statement.  And it seems clear and logical to me.
Yes, the statement is clear and logical; it just didn't strike me as having anything to do with the rest of your post. You have great info discussing how to store soaps and different containers you use to do so. (I agree, BTW, as I have a bunch of the Anchor Hocking and also containers from Ikea.) Not a criticism, my friend, just an observation--perhaps it would track better if I was reading the thread in the Soaps and Creams forum; I read it in General Shaving Talk forum so maybe some context was missing.

I use the Anchor Hocking glass jars, also. What I do, however, is to take the box or paper the soap comes in, cut it out, and tape it to the top of the container.

I primarily do this with soaps such as Haslinger that do not come with containers. I also do it with soaps whose containers are just too expensive. Happy2

Once you are done correcting my sentences and telling me where I should post my replies maybe you should go to "Soaps & Creams" and check out "Repotting Soap".

As I said: "Not a criticism, my friend, just an observation"

Have a great holiday weekend.
