I don't know how many people on here will be familiar with him, but one of the great Blues band leaders - John Mayall, passed away. https://www.theguardian.com/music/articl...blues-dies

He is known mostly for the artists that passed through his band, The Bluesbreakers. Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, and others.

I really got into his music when I picked up a copy of 'London Blues' many decades ago, when I was a teenager. I have always appreciated his stuff, and the various versions of the band he led.

Rest in peace, John!

I first heard him when I was a teenager and my older brother had a few records.
« Jazz Blues Fusion » was amazing and led me to get interested in jazz a few years later.
RIP John.
