Zac, just for a reference, Thanksgiving in Canada was on 8 October.

I know the post I'm quoting is over 2 years old, but this must be a joke. I placed an order from IB over a week ago and IT HASN'T EVEN SHIPPED YET! It's not like I'm in dire need of shaving products, but c'mon! How does it take more than a week to box  up an order and ship it out?

I'm in the same boat, but they also had a black friday sale, probably were closed for a day due to thanksgiving and then were backlogged with orders up the wazoo. I knew I would be waiting a bit but hopefully soon they will start clearing orders.

I get that. I know they had to be super busy and there was the ever present notice of the 3-5 day delay, but its now been 8 days since I placed the order. Any company, I don't care who you are, should be able to get your crap together and ship any order within a week of being placed. It makes me feel like I'm back in the days of the mail order catalog or something.

I am not quite positive if everything they stock is in one place in Canada. For some reason, I have always felt like some is within the USA on the eat coast. I very well could be wrong but nonetheless, I would like to enjoy some soaps I ordered sooner rather than later.

I have always been fortunate with Italian Barber’s shipping times so maybe it is just what I ordered and when I ordered it.  Also, everything I have received from them has been shipped from Niagara Falls, New York, just across the Canadian border, using the USPS.

You could ask Folsom and Company about this process. (Took them over three weeks to send off my last order. Also, it wasn't even boxed up — the bottle was bubble-wrapped. Sorry for the slightly off-topic…)

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

It's a Christmas miracle! My package from IB arrived today exactly 2 weeks after I ordered it. Like I said, not really desperate for shaving soap (who here is?), but I would still like to think I could get an in stock item from a website faster than 2 weeks. So long Italian Barber. That was most likely my last order. Most of the stuff they have can be found elsewhere anyway for less money with cheaper and definitely faster shipping. C'est la vie...

My apologies for the delays. Black Friday week was insanity, I think we may have put too many things on sale. On cyber Monday we arrived to over 2000 orders. Our team is usually capable of shipping about 200 orders a day and to make matters worse, most of these orders had 10+ items in them, many 20-40 items so this was slowing us down even worse. Admittedly, quick, we are not. It's tough to beef up on staff just for a few busy periods a year because it takes a few months to train a team member on the system. I know we now live in am amazon world and we'll lose people that want their items fast. We have to choose between working lower margins or raising prices and doubling the staff. My gut tells me the majority of our clients don't need items too fast and would prefer deeper value for money. Of course, this is just my gut feeling and I could be mistaken.

razorock, I’m familiar with the dilemma you describe. I do contracting for an entity that sometimes needs lots of work done very quickly. That means busy times for many people. However, at other times, there is very little work, and no need for all the people that were trained to help out when the deadlines were tight.

Very rarely is there a middle ground. And that can be frustrating.

I would prefer lower prices and waiting honestly.
I have enough shaving supplies to shave daily for about 10 years without needing to buy anything more. I suspect most other enthusiasts are in a similar situation.

+1

I ordered two more Mamba's on Wednesday and they were shipped the following day. Thanks, Joe. Shy
