Is this a vintage Butterscotch Simpsons Brush??

[font=Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]I just purchased this for $2 at an estate sale and I am curious if this is a Simpsons brush. The decal is very similar. The knot is 24mm Pure Badger. The handle is very "chubby" looking and is 42mm wide and 49mm tall. Can anyone help ID and date this brush?  Is it a Rooney?

The knot I ordered arrived in today's mail call. It is a 24mm SHD High Mountain White Silvertip Fan from Oumo. It took two weeks to arrive from China. From first appearances, I am impressed with the knot.

I used a Dremel to open up the hole from the original 20mm to 24mm. I drilled down to 16mm deep and then stopped. I then poured two part epoxy in the hole and inserted the knot so that it had a 51mm loft. 

I am really impressed with my first restoration of a vintage brush. I didn't screw it up.

You did a great job. Unfortunately my restorations have gone bad several times so I gave up on that idea.

I've done several of this model Rooney brush and yours is as good as any I managed to finish. Nice job! The finished job when you do it right always ends up, in use, a result of how good the knot was that you used.
