Just got this Artist Club type razor from Shapeways. It was designed by Robert Quintero for 3D printing. It came out fantastic as I chose SLA type printing. It is a two piece razor as the handle screws into the one piece head putting pressure on the blade without actually making contact with the blade. The only downside is adjusting the blade exposure and turning the handle at the same time. It took me about ten minutes to get the perfect exposure for me. I am using an Artist Club Pro blade but if you leave too much exposure it becomes a monster. So this is great for anyone wanting to use an AC type razor as its one size fits all.

Tomorrow morning I will shave with it and hoping for a close smooth shave without dingers. What I like about this razor is the weight. I have not weighed it yet but I am guessing over 20 grams. The handle length is 3.25" and grip is absolutely no issue. The total price since I didn't take expedited shipping and super fast build was $38

Sine the razor has no name I am calling it the RQ AC

So is this SUPPOSED to be an adjustable? After the shave report, maybe show pics of it taken apart. Maybe the blade can be adjusted to be a slant, like the new ATT.  Happy2

This razor is two piece. The head is one piece. When you slide the blade in the grooves on the side it doesn't lock in. When reading the description on how to load a blade there is no mention that the blade can move back or forward. When I inserted the AC blade I had to turn the handle which locks the blade in. I had to manually adjust the blade from both ends until I got the blade exposure that I felt is comfortable. The first time the blade exposure was like a Muhle R41 2011 but way worse. I put it to my face and it felt like a shavette. So I pushed the blade back and re tightened the handle. So now it feels fairly comfortable. I will know in the morning when I attempt a shave. Apparently you can adjust the blade all the way in where the blade exposure is small. All and all this is a very nice razor and Shapeways did a good job making it.

First shave with the RQ AC razor. I used CBL Barbershop soap with a Semogue OC badger. The blade was set to medium aggression possibly 5/10. Totally smooth and close with absolutely zero irritation and no cuts or weepers. Very easy to find the correct angle. Because the head is kind of large going under the nose required against and across the grain. But this presented little challenge. Of course I won't know until tonight how close a shave this razor gave. At the present my face is very smooth.
