I received my order of Sir Henry's Island Estate soap and splash earlier this week and I shaved with it this morning.  The soap base is very good and lathers up nice and rich and I had a very nice 3 pass shave.  I would say that the scent of the soap is, to my nose, slightly lighter than the beta sample I tested a few weeks back but the splash is right where I remembered the sample.  A very pleasant Bay Rum that you could shave with every day.   Happy2

Island Estate could be someone's first (and only) bay rum or it could bee an addition to a comprehensive collection like mine and either way I think you'd be happy with it.

Thanks Dominick

Thanks for the feedback. I believe we have taken care of that slight "lightness" you described in the soap. It's been kicked up to match the Aftershave Splash better. We value the Bay Rum fans out there and believe we have one that will stand with any.
How did you like the performance of the splash?

is the soap a puck or poured into the soap container to harden? I'm asking because if I'm using a soap to shave my head, I just rub the entire puck on my head and then work it into a lather with my hands or a brush.

It is poured, but it gets hard enough that it can be squeezed around the sides and then tapped hard and come out. If you order, I'll loosen one up for you in advance. Just remind me in the order comments.

The splash performance is great. Very rich and nurturing and an excellent scent.  Happy2

I totally forgot, we also have 2 great soaps that we sell in a puck form. LVS and Black & Tan both come in 3 oz loose pucks for $9.99. Amazon or our site.
