Hey folks,
I have been collecting razors for many years and have a plethora of Single Edge beauties. Thing is, it has only been up till recently I really began digging into them. Granted I gave 'em all a go as I picked them up but never really dedicated enough time to the technique or gave them a chance to Wow me.

Now I find myself revisiting them with a new respect...that said, what are some of your favorites? Also, ever stumble upon some strange brands that have surprised you?

that's a funky looking DE Gem blade, never seen it before.

So far my favorite blades are: Personna PTFE Gem SS, Personna Injector PTFE SS

Just started using the SS Hawk which is my fist artist club razor and last night I retired the Feather Pro blade after around 10 shaves, the quality of the shave on the Feather Pro is on par with the Personna PTFE that I mentioned above but its very hard to put it on the favorite list considering the blade rusts if you leave it wet.... Something I never experienced with the Personna PTFE blades. The SS Hawk is ready and loaded with Kai Pinks, curious to see how they perform and will they rust?! I hope they don't rust....

This thread should be in the blade forum.

Only two - Kai PINK and Feather Pro.

GEM SS PTFE for my vintage GEM/EverReady SE's. I really haven't settled into a favorite for the Feather AC style razors, yet. Maybe the KAI Titan Mild?

For GEM style, PTFE are the only ones that work well for me.

I think that is true for many of us. I can use the GEM Blue Star SE blades but, to me, the PTFEs are noticeably better.

For injectors, I like Chicks. The only AC style blade I've used was the Feather Pro in a Colonial General razor. It was a lackluster experience.

The only criticism I have for the GEM SS ptfes are that they are too sharp and unforgiving when fresh, so I age them for a few shaves in a less aggressive razor before putting them into the more aggressive razors that I love. Four shaves to age the edge generally does it. Many folks palm or pants strop the edge. Sometimes I forget, or is it bravado (?), and I put a fresh blade into the ER '24, I always pay the price with weepers. That's when I remember :-) .
