what is the difference between the Ikon X1 slant and B1 slants? Is it the same head geometry but the B1 is just coated? Or is it different head geometry. Thanks!

Got the answer here (in case anyone interested). B1 is SS MIM and coated. X1 is aluminum. Supposedly same geometry.

Have you tried the ikon 102 slant? I have it and the x1 and for me the 102 is a better, smoother shaver.

No, I have not tried that one. I will look into it. What material is it made of?

I have had one shave with the B1. It was a good shave.

I think posting a WTB is your only option for that one. I bought and sold it twice...lol. It's a neat razor because it's not a typical "twisted" slant. It's just tilted. Sometimes I kinda wish I kept it for the cool factor, but it was just too mild for my preference. I think it's made of aluminum MIM btw.

Thanks wyze0ne

I believe the ATT S1 slant, which I enjoy using, is similar to what you describe.

I think you’re right Jeff, no longer made and aluminum head. It’s very smooth and some people find it too mild. Some also complained of clogging but I think that was a factor of younger shavers with softer whiskers who would shave every three or four days (or longer) leading to longer cuttings that could clog the razor. I have old man wire whiskers and usually don’t go more than a couple of days without shaving so have had no problems. I’ll dig mine out and post some pictures

Same here, I have the X1. I have no problems with it and it is in my Slant rotation. One thing I think new users have difficulty with is the angle. The sweet spot is very small. But once you master it, it will reward you with a great shave. My suggestion for anyone wanting to try a slant is going to the Parker semi-slant. Great one. easy to use..
Currently the slants are a  few for PAA, RR G37, MerKur 37C & HD, Maggards Slant, Ikon X1, Parker Semi Slant.
Great shaves, irritation free, cllose shave, lasts longer, no drama....

The slant is my "Started". Always just two passes is needed on my gorilla stubble.
Then comes the "Closer". It is normally one one my RR SLOCs  or PA Accession for minor touch up/ clean up around the big pie hole.
Works for me, hey enjoy the day and really enjoy the shave...

I will also try to get some slant pics posted...
