I’ve begun to really appreciate Personna “Lab Blue” blades.
They are available, but I don’t always know that what I’m looking at is a “Lab Blue” Personna!
How do I identify these blades?
Where is the right place to buy them?

They're the only blades made in the USA so just look for that mark on the blade and box. That's the only reliable indicator.**

**This may actually not be so reliable anymore because it appears that production was moved to Germany due to COVID. I don't know if all the blades have switched over yet or if there are USA blades still stocked by retailers for the time being.

Now that makes sense.
Thanks Shane.
I think I’ll put one of those USA made blades in my Blackbird and get busy!

Interesting...
I’m pretty sure that these are lab blue blades, but it says they are made in Germany!

That packaging has a 2019 copyright and the Lab Blue switch was made recently. So it’s possible that they’re repurposing old packaging for their other German blades, but that seems unlikely to me. Hard to know.

-The Lab Blue blades should say "Comfort Coated".

Although some of the blades made in Germany may come in a blue box, it they do not say "Comfort Coated" I doubt they are the same as the Lab Blues made by Accutek Blades in Vernon, VA USA.

I thought all the Personna blades were made by Edgewell?

Hey Shane,

My last purchase of Personna Prep blades was made in 2018.  Note that the bottom of the blade and the lower left of the box both say "Made in USA".  The blade also says "For Hospital Use".  I always regarded these as different from the Lab Blues.  Are you saying that Prep and Lab Blue are the same blade?  --  Thx.

As far as I know the preps are entirely different.
