Jeff, more so than a Chubby 2 synthetic?

The Supply Provision synthetic brush has adequate backbone for Stirling Soaps. It works best with creams, as do most synthetics. I also have an Omega Synthetic Boar (S10018) which I use with soft soaps such as Stirling, Eleven, etc. I have not found a synthetic brush that works as good as Boar on a hard puck soap. My assessment could be due to faulty technique, but I have some floppy synthetics (with low density) which I would not try with soap pucks.

I agree with this. I use my boars for harder soaps and croaps. I tend to use my badgers and synthetics for creams and really soft soaps.

I would love to see his video using this monster! And here I had thought my brushes were too large! Smile

Michael Freedburg has a video where he uses a 75mm brush. It's hilarious!

I've come full circle and in the process spent a lot of cash. Started with badger, moved on to boar and then synthetic. Sold all my natural hair brushes. When Simpson came back out with their SiLVERTIP, I caved and bought. Liked it so much I was like, what was I thinking? Now, 5 badger hair brushes in and looking to get a few more. It's madness I tell ya!

As a confirmed synthetic brush lover for over four years I have tried many different generations and they have indeed improved. My favorites now are the AP Shave Co. "FlatTop" and the Yaqi 24mm Cashmere. These two have a face feel almost exactly alike, but the Cashmere has more backbone. Both are perfect for face lathering with the nod to the latter if you need more resistance. The Cashmere 24mm to my dashingly handsome face feels just like the "FlatTop", but with backbone more akin to the SynBad (which I also have). I would recommend the SynBad ,i.e., mew brown, for bowl latherers.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

I have both and use both. I really like my synthetics for the reason listed but natural hair brushes just have a different quality to them. My super badger is just more luxurious than my synthetics. One of the most striking things to me is heat retention. Badgers hog more lather, but that is OK with me. When I travel I take a synthetic because it dries faster and if I leave it behind, it's not a huge loss (and I have left a shaving brush on a cruise ship). I like them both for different reasons.

A man, without force, is without the essential dignity of humanity. Human nature is so constituted, that it cannot honor a helpless man, although it can pity him; and even this it cannot do long if the signs of power do not arise.
