I've settled in to a Weber PH as my "go-to" razor. Occasionally (every two weeks or so), I'll use something else, but for me the razor hunt is over.

Of course, this doesn't mean that something may catch my attention...

You know this is a good question. When I got the slim adjustable I thought that was the one. Then I got a fatboy and ditto. Then I got a muhle r41 and various vintage gillettes but from them, I thought the r41 and NEW LC were the ones suited me the most. I was never going to get an expensive stainless steel razor or so I told myself.
But I got the timeless, the wolfman guerrilla, and the charcoal goods level 3 oc.
I actually love(maybe too strong of a word for a thing), all of my razors and use them all. On days when I have time, I use the lvl3, the r41, the timeless, the futur, or the NEW Deluxe.
On days when I don't have time, I use the guerrilla, slim adjustable, red tip, fatboy, the NEW LC, or the pre-war tech.

So despite liking more aggressive razors, I still use milder razors and still get great shaves from them.

Up next for purchase is a tto open comb like the sheraton or 34 aristocrat.

I've tried many razors. But the only one that has stuck around for me is the Pils 101NE. So smooth, and a nearly perfect shave every time I use it.

I would like to try out a Timeless .68 and a Rockwell adjustable. But I have a feeling neither will match the mighty Pils for me.

Great question.

Of my DE razors, my ATT S1, followed closely by the M1. The M1 and the Wolfman solid bar are indistinguishable in the feel and the shave, and I love them both but would put the S1 ever so slightly ahead of both.

My Feather DX and AS also fall into that "This is the ONE" category. If pressed, I'd probably go with the DX over the AS. And the KAI versions are equally great.

If I had to choose just one for the proverbial deserted island, it would be the Feather DX. Then I'd have to figure out the postage from Maggards to the aforementioned deserted island.

Couldn't hope for a better razor than these two:
Blackland Blackbird SB machined finish 85 mm
Blackland Blackbird OC black oxide 85 mm

They still astound me on almost every shave. And if I’ve missed a day or two between shaves, I often want to just laugh at how effortlessly either of them expels the stubble.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

BBS-1 - Still use and consider it appropriate for mowing down the serious growth.

R41 Muhle 2011 - Recently sold but used that razor a ton and it was incredible for getting a close comfortable shave with lots of facial hair.

MJ-90 Razorock - A surprise but have had it for a couple months and it currently is my most used razor as I have transitioned to daily shaving more frequently.

That does it. 11AM drinking a flat white in a Galway (Ireland) coffee shop right now and just ordered the machined SB. I usually like a milder/new blade combo over aggressive but why not.

I blurted out to my wife that Matt and Alex (in Boston) keep going on about the Blackbirds. I have to get one.

She asked if they are dangerous and fly anywhere near the kids camp.
