If it's just the shave part, probably not more than 10 minutes. But the whole process probably takes around 15 to 20 minutes, I try to enjoy every moment of it, rather than just rush.

I probably never rush my shave before since I am quite a punctual person, I always plan my schedule 3 hours before any important things.

I have my shave set up the previous night. Total shave time is less than 10 minutes. I scoop the lather after the last pass and dab it on the face while I clean up the sink and put away stuff. Them warm towel to wipe away the lather. Apply post shave.

My normal two pass shave takes about 20 minutes. I'm pretty slow. I wish I could go faster. I'm doing 1 pass shaves when pressed for time.

It has been asked before, but so what?

If I only shave my face the shave part takes 13 minutes from soap to final rinse. If I hot soak my face it can take longer, and the deciding on the gear and putting it away adds time. But it's all good time.

If you need to "speed things up" you might instead try to shift when you do things. Can you shave before going to bed?

I usually spend 5-10 minutes for a 3-pass shave. I don't feel like I'm rushing. I'm just efficient.

It sounds like I'm probably average to quicker than average. I suppose I was just seeing what most folks do and how they spend their time shaving.

In addition it's interesting to see that many people shave pretty quickly with DE or straight. It's a shame that many think it takes too long to wet shave and that is used as an excuse to not jump in to the pool.

I work 2nd/3rd shift and NEED to shower before bed. I end up smelling of work, so that is a necessity. I am not required to shave for work, either. So, I shave after my shower in the wee hours almost every night. When I shaved with carts and canned foam or gel, I only shaved about 1-2 times per week and hated every minute of it. I shave mainly for myself these days. I truly enjoy the whole process of the traditional wet shave and take my time. I may use a full 30 minutes! There's no hurry for me.

I'm pretty close to Matsilainen on this. A two pass shave from the very start to finishing cleaning up the razor, brush, sink, etc. is probably about twenty minutes.
