So many great large and small European soap makers out there. Looking to venture away from my comfort zone of US artisans and could use a little help. What are your favorites and why?

1. Tabula Rasa
2. Savonniere du Moulin
3. Savon des Volcans Bon Berger
4. Le Pére Lucien
5. Panacream Nuavia
6. Esbjerg (cream)
7. Castle Forbes (cream)
8. Meißner Tremonia
9. Martin de Candre
10. Saponificio Varesino

You ask why ?

Because all these soaps perform great.
It's not rocket science after all - the soaps perform great.
Some have better post shave feel, but all in all - all these 10 are TOP CLASS SOAPS !

Cella
Tabac
De vergulde hand
Haslinger schafmilch
La Toja(stick)
Taylor of old bond street(cream)
Razorock soaps.

Pre de Provence (it's ok not so great, going keep trying it though)

Are the ones I've tried. All preform great.

Godrej preforms ok and is from India.

Honestly I feel the classic European soaps to preform better then the American artisans(though their quite good)

One thing artisans do great is scent options.

Lot of the European soaps seem to just come in one scent with exception to Taylor of old bond street and haslinger.

Chopper, great thread! I was just thinking about this very same matter earlier today, wondering if there was a thread like this. Well, here it is! Good input so far from Claus and Slyfox, hoping to see even more from others who also have experience with products from the old world.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

OSP has my vote and I have heard P&B is a top soap. Both from The UK which is good to see.

I have used many others but nothing has come close to OSP yet, even SV.

I still have to try Nuàvia though!
