This is the best place for all straight razor related questions and topics, but fair warning...there are not as many of "us" as there is of "them", so compared to the other topics and categories, this one seems to be much slower. However, there are a couple guys here that really know their stuff...
Me...I'm a novice, but a successful novice that gets good edges and great shaves, so if I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to ask. You're also welcome to shoot me a private message, if you'd like.

Chris (BadDad), you do yourself a huge disfavor in thinking you are a novice. Also, while there may be more DE/SE users than straight razor users, the straight users are here, are vociferous, are warm and welcoming, and help complete a fantastic site.
reut0, while I have tried straights and have decided they aren't for me, the knowledge base at DFS is superb and I truly enjoy reading the posts here. I think I'm safe in saying, "Ask away".

I disagree completely. Calling myself a novice keeps me humble and actively learning with every stroke on every stone. To my way of thinking, that is the greatest service I can do for myself, as it keeps me constantly open to new observations and ideas...
I'm pretty good with the stones I have, but there are an awful lot of stones out there that I have never used. When I can get a good edge on half of them, MAYBE I'll stop calling myself a novice...
