Just received a package of the new prototype razor from Homelikeshavingcalled the Hummingbird. Took some time to get here with all that is going on in the world but, it has arrived safely and sound. This prototype is hand polished by the wonderful gentleman Gopnegin which we have been corresponding for the past few months and is the individual who is making this happen for myself and others to try these new creations. A big thank you to both HomelikeshavingGopnegor taking the time and energy in allowing us westerners to sample these fine shaving tools.

Here are a couple of pics of the actual razor. It is a complete set with varying gap sizes from .80 - 1.50 in both SB & OC configurations. A very nice high polish finish and thin profile head that looks like it will be a winner for those that prefer the slim profile for working under the nose and stache area. All SS construction with very good weight & balance with excellent etching on the bottom of the plates. It’s a clear etching unlike their START razor which has black fill but, this is still easily readable. Don’t know if this is how the final rendering will be but, since this is a prototype I assume there will be some changes or modifications to the final production run for retail.

I will be putting in a full weeks worth or just a tiny bit more of shaves with this lovely razor and as per Gopneg there will be a thread created for a pass around for anyone who wants to sign up and try this new offering from HomelikeShaving. Stay tuned in the next week or so. If interested, just say so here and I’ll transfer the names onto that pass around thread once created.

Pics below. My picture taking skills are horrible. My apologies Gents.....
